Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez reportedly was not on board with the signing of Joao Felix on loan from Atletico Madrid last summer, and he will again be against it this time round.

Felix arrived on loan in the closing stages of the transfer window as a move made by Sporting Director Deco and President Joan Laporta, as well as no doubt the recommendation of agent Jorge Mendes. He started off well, but has gradually lost importance, and is now a regular on the bench.

As per Diario AS, Xavi does not want Felix to continue at the club, regardless of how cheap or not the deal is. On the other hand he is keen to keep Inigo Martinez, who like Vitor Roque still needs to be registered for next season, and Ferran Torres. In the forward line, Raphinha, Torres and Lamine Yamal are the only players Xavi is desperate to hang onto, although Robert Lewandowski seems likely to stay too.

Roque on the other hand looks to be on his way out of the club this summer, with the 19-year-old contributing little on the pitch, and set to take up a chunk of their salary limit off it. The political undertones amongst Barcelona‘s transfer business continue to contour the roadmap for the Catalan side, which is a worrying sign for Culers.
