Barcelona and Spain legend Xavi has officially confirmed he will be ending his career next summer.

The 37-year-old is still playing in Qatar for Al Sadd but this season will be his last.

“It’s certainly my last year as a footballer,” said the midfielder.

A four-time Champions League winner and a World Cup winner with Spain in 2010, there is little Xavi has no achieved.

No player has played more times for Barcelona and a return could be on the cards, as he plans to take up coaching.
