Leicester have been given the chance to cash in on defender Josh Knight.
The 23-year-old, who came through the ranks at the Foxes’ academy, has been on loan at Wycombe Wanderers since October.
However, with that deal to expire at the end of this month, the Chairboys are looking to land Knight on a permanent deal.
Football Insider reports that Wanderers have submitted an offer, with a Leicester source confirming that the two clubs are in talks to cement the deal.
Knight has made just one senior appearance for the Premier League club, which came in a League Cup game against Sheffield United in 2017.
With just six months left on his deal at Leicester, and no prospect of breaking into manager Brendan Rodgers’ plans, it would make sense for all parties for the player to make the switch in January.
Knight has featured 17 times in his three months at Wycombe.
The Buckinghamshire outfit sit bottom of the Championship table, and lie four points from safety.
