West Brom defender Caleb Taylor is a target for a host of League One clubs but Wycombe Wanderers currently lead the race to sign him on loan, according to the Express & Star.
A product of West Brom’s youth academy, Taylor is yet to make his mark at senior level and has been sent out on a couple of loan spells.
After a successful spell with Cheltenham Town during the 2022/23 season, Taylor played seven games for Bolton in the second half last term.
League One clubs took note of his potential last term and are trying to sign him for the 2024/25 season.
Wycombe Wanderers are the club that are leading the chase though as they hope to beat the clock to secure a loan deal for the player.
It now remains to be seen when Matt Bloomfield’s side finally manage to wrap up the move.
Taylor could be the second player from the West Brom academy to head out on the final day of the window with striker Mo Faal also having left the club permanently.
