Deanne Rose’s goal was one fit to win any game, even one the Blues dominated.

Chelsea had 77% possession and 34 shots but couldn’t find the net and opened the door for Arsenal to extend their lead to four points

The Award for Business As Usual

the Gunners did just that as they got back to winning ways.

Following big defeats to Chelsea in the FA Cup final and Barcelona in the Champions League, Arsenal were back in their WSL groove as they made it 18 league games without defeat.

Goal of the Weekend

Birmingham, still winless this season, put up some fight to twice lead before eventually falling to a 3-2 defeat against Manchester City.

The visitors were helped along by this Georgia Stanway screamer.

Pick that out.

The Weekly Race For Third Winners Are

Everyone but Brighton.

Tottenham are on 17 points in third after a first win in five and there were also wins for Manchester United (fifth, 15 points), Manchester City (sixth, 13 points) and Reading (eighth, 13 points) while West Ham (seventh, 13 points) drew.

Brighton remain fourth but a second defeat in a row, this one to Manchester United, only saw the race for third tighten up even more.
