Harry Kane must “love” playing with Tottenham summer signing Sergio Reguilon, according to Darren Bent.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs man made his thoughts known after Reguilon delivered a magnificent crossed assist for Kane in their 1-1 draw with Fulham last Wednesday.

Reguilon started Spurs’ following match against Sheffield United too, his 20th in Tottenham colours after signing from Real Madrid in the summer in a deal worth a reported £32million.

Since then, only Kane and Son Heung-Min have provided more assists for Spurs than Reguilon, while the Spaniard is also the teams most frequent crosser on average per 90 minutes (Wyscout).

And Bent has been highly impressed with the attacking side of the 24-year-old’s game, even if the defensive side could do with a little bit of work.

He told Football Insider: “Going forward, superb. He’s put in a couple of great crosses for Harry Kane.

“Harry Kane must be thinking ‘Wow… I love playing with this guy.’

“Defensively there are maybe still one or two questions but on the whole, I think he’s done really, really well.

“I think Mourinho will be very pleased with that signing. He offers them a lot in attack and when he puts a ball in he puts it in with real quality.”

Reguilon graduated from Real Madrid’s academy in 2015 and has made 22 appearances for the Spanish giants.

The Bernabeu hierarchy are said to have included a £41m buyback option in the deal taking the five-time international to North London, according to talkSPORT.
