West Bromwich Albion stretched their winless run to three games with a goalless draw away at Blackpool last night and many Baggies fans have been calling for impressive teenager Reyes Cleary to get a chance against Nottingham Forest on Friday.

Albion were not without their chances at Bloomfield Road but were unable to convert any of their 25 shots meaning they’ve now scored just two goals in their last five games.

Beyond Karlan Grant, who has eight in 19 Championship games, no Baggies player has scored more than three goals for the first team this term but they do have a forward in red hot form in their academy.

Cleary has scored four goals in seven games in Premier League 2 and eight in five in the U18 Premier League this term, with his impressive performances drawing the reported attention of clubs including Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Newcastle United, and Crystal Palace.

The 17-year-old is yet to sign a professional contract at Albion and has never made a senior appearance for the club but you wonder whether we could see him get his chance over the next few weeks should Ismael’s side continue to struggle in front of goal.

The West Brom fans certainly want him in the first team against Forest on Friday evening, as their comments on Twitter after the Blackpool game show…
