Brighton and Hove Albion believe that Bissouma has been a fine servant for the club, according to journalist Peter O’Rourke.

With that being the case, Brighton and Hove Albion are prepared to sell Bissouma this summer, according to O’Rourke.

O’Rourke is under the impression that Brighton and Hove Albion will consider selling the midfielder for £40 million.

O’Rourke added that Bissouma would like to play for a club that competes in Europe.

O’Rourke told the Touchline Talk podcast the following (18:28): “From what I’m hearing, Brighton would consider offers for him. They think he’s done enough for them and if they could get maybe £40m for him this summer they think that would represent a good deal for them to move him on as well and not stand in his way to possibly move to a bigger club.

“From what I’m also hearing is that Bissouma wants to join a club that’s maybe playing in Europe, ideally Champions League, if not, there’ll be somebody in Europa League. Liverpool have watched him quite a bit as well this season as a potential replacement for Gini Wijnaldum.”

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Liverpool will either be in the Champions League or Europa League next season. With three games left to play, Liverpool sit in fifth-place on the Premier League table.

With that being the case, the club could offer Bissouma European football.

Bissouma would be a decent replacement for midfielder Gini Wijnaldum. The Dutchman is reportedly set to depart Anfield on a free transfer come the end of the season.

Bissouma is more than capable of playing in the Premier League. The 24-year-old is averaging a WhoScored player rating of 6.98 across the 2020-21 Premier League campaign.

Also, Bissouma is still only young. He could represent the club for a number of years.
