Sergio Ramos has hit back at Gerard Piqué over his Real Madrid criticism, saying he would ‘sign up to win every Clásico’ playing as badly as the Barcelona defender suggested.

Vinícius Júnior and Mariano Díaz scored second-half goals as Madrid moved above Barça into top spot following their 2-0 win on Sunday.

“Everyone’s opinion is respectable,” he told AS. “I sign up to win all Clásico’s by making a performance as bad as he says.

“Our approach was different. In the first half, we left the ball and in the second we decided to push forward.

“They were not so fresh and we started to generate chances.

“It was a unique opportunity to depend on ourselves. These are three important points but there is much left to work for.”

Real Madrid next face Real Betis on March 8.
