Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has provided an update on the wellbeing of Ferran Torres.

This comes after the Spanish international was forced into a premature departure from the club’s latest outing.

Barcelona marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to Vitoria-Gasteiz for a La Liga meeting with Deportivo Alavés.

When all was said and done, the Blaugrana emerged on the right side of a comfortable 3-0 result, courtesy of a hat-trick on the part of Robert Lewandowski.

All the while, however, attacking partner-in-crime Ferran Torres was condemned to what looks set to be an incoming spell on the sidelines.

After pulling up clutching at his hamstring inside the opening 180 seconds at Mendizorroza, wide-man Ferran was ultimately forced to limp off.

And, speaking to the media post-match, Hansi Flick admitted that the early signs are of a ‘worrying’ nature:

“We still don’t know what injury Ferran has, but it looks muscular. We’ll see with the medical tests tomorrow. The injury is worrying. We don’t have many options in attack, but we’ll see what happens.”
