Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes has reportedly reached an agreement with Turkish giants Galatasaray over a summer move.
A report from Corriere dello Sport claims that the Argentine international has agreed personal terms with the Turkish giants over a four-year deal worth €2.5 million per season.
The 28-year-old returned to Parc des Princes following an underwhelming loan spell with Juventus last season.
Paredes failed to nail down a regular place in the starting eleven amid reports of a potential fallout with manager Massimiliano Allegri. The Binaconeri eventually opted against his permanent transfer.
One of the highlights of the season was the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, with Paredes playing a big part in Argentina’s triumph.
The former Zenit St Petersburg star appears to have no future with PSG, although he recently stated that soon-to-be new manager Luis Enrique would do a good job with Les Parisiens.
Paredes’ club form has nosedived of late, but he remains an important figure for the Argentine national team, with whom he also won the Copa America 2021 and the inaugural Finalissima last year.
The former Roma star is set to follow Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos and Christophe Galtier through the exit door as PSG continue their summer revolution.
Paredes’ compatriot Mauro Icardi, who will return to PSG after an impressive loan at Galatasaray, also faces an uncertain future at Parc des Princes.
Serie A giants AC Milan are interested in Icardi and have opened talks over a potential summer move.
Paredes’ arrival would unlock Lucas Torreira’s departure from Galatasaray, with the Italian midfielder a top target for Lazio.
