Robert Lewandowski has met with a fan who went viral after he scored his first World Cup goal for Poland against Saudi Arabia on Saturday.
The 33-year-old is one of the greatest strikers to have ever played the game.
But, prior to Poland’s game against Saudi Arabia on the weekend, Lewandowski had never scored at football’s most prestigious tournament.
He managed to break his duck though as he netted in Poland’s 2-0 victory over Saudi Arabia.
Lewandowski netted his side’s second in the 82nd minute to give his side all three points.
A supporter watching on at the game went viral with his reaction to Lewandowski’s goal.
The fan had a Saudi Arabia shirt on but, after Lewandowski made it 2-0 to Poland, whipped it off to unveil a Poland shirt underneath.
Lewandowski saw the video of the fan and he thoroughly enjoyed it.
Reacting to GiveMeSport’s Facebook post of the moment, Lewandowski wrote: “What a support! I have a jersey for you! Get in touch in the comments!”
Lewandowski was true to his word.
The fan got in touch and they arranged a meeting on Sunday. Lewandowski handed the fan a signed Poland shirt and posed for pictures.
The Polish superstar posted an image of him and the fan on his Facebook page.

A video also shows their exchange.
Pure class from the Barcelona striker.
Poland are in pole-position to make the knockout stages of the World Cup for the first time since 1986.
The White-Reds are currently top of Group C having picked up four points from their opening two games.
They go into a mouth-watering clash with Argentina knowing a point or better will see them making the last 16.
Poland could still make the knockout rounds even if they lose but that is dependent on the result of the match between Saudi Arabia and Mexico.
There is a chance that Poland could lose against Argentina but still go through on goal difference.
But they won’t want it to come to that and will be hoping to do the job against Lionel Scaloni’s side.
