It will be a battle of contrasting fortunes on Sunday, as Hansi Flick’s Germany fight to stay in the competition and Luis Enrique’s Spain will fight to qualify for the next round of the World Cup.
Germany suffered a shock loss to Japan in their previous game, whereas Spain beat Costa Rica by a stunning 7-0 margin. A loss for Germany could mean that it will be their second consecutive group stage elimination in a row, as they got knocked out in the same round in 2018.

Team news
For Germany, Leroy Sane has returned to training but it is unlikely that he will feature today as he is not 100 percent fit. Apart from that, Flick has the whole squad available to himself and he could pick the same XI, if he doesn’t remove Kai Havertz following his poor showing against Japan.
Spain also have no injuries or suspensions in the side and are likely to go with the same XI as they did against Costa Rica.
Spain possible starting lineup:Simon; Azpilicueta, Rodri, Laporte, Alba; Pedri, Busquets, Gavi; F. Torres, Asensio, Olmo
Germany possible starting lineup:Neuer; Sule, Rudiger, Schlotterbeck, Raum; Kimmich, Gundogan; Gnabry, Muller, Musiala; Havertz
