At the Qatar edition of the tournament, Senegal secured passage by beating Ecuador 2-1 in their final group match.

Goals from Ismaila Sarr and captain fantastic Kalidou Koulibaly either side of a strike from Moises Caicedo were enough to join Holland in the illustrious knockout stage.

Tuesday night is one Senegal fans will not forget in a hurry and those lucky enough to be inside the magnificent Khalifa International Stadium certainly enjoyed themselves.

Not only were they dressed to impress, the Senegal contingent could be heard loudly cheering on their beloved players throughout the entirety of the match.

After Koulibaly’s goal, the noise inside the stadium was very, very impressive and the celebrations were just a joy to watch.

What a moment in Senegal’s footballing history!

But while Koulibaly’s goal was the game’s deciding moment, it’s not the snippet of action which has gone viral on social media in the aftermath.

Instead, a clip of a young Moroccan fan joining in with the Senegalese supporters around 10 minutes after the goal is what’s doing the rounds.

And believe us when we say the footage is firmly in the ‘this is what football is all about’ category…

You just love to see it!

The Morocco fan picked up the dance routine very quickly, so you have to say bravo for that as well.

Will Morocco join Senegal in the last-16?

So, with Senegal now confirmed as participants in the knockout stage, the focus will switch to Morocco – who are in with a serious chance of joining their fellow African nation.

After drawing 0-0 with Croatia, the Atlas Lions beat an ageing Belgium side 2-0 to put themselves in pole-position.

A victory over Canada on Thursday will see Morocco qualify for the World Cup last-16 for the first time since 1986.

Ghana are also in with a shot of representing Africa in the knockout stage after beating South Korea 3-2 in their penultimate match.

Both Tunisia and Cameroon are not eliminated just yet, although they will have to beat France and Brazil respectively in their final group games to stand any chance.
