World Cup issue emerges for Arsenal and Saliba

Arsenal face a battle to keep hold of William Saliba this summer - due to the World Cup.

After a successful loan with Olympique Marseille, which included gaining his first caps with France, Saliba is due back at the Gunners for prseason.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and his staff are unanimous over the importance that Saliba start next season in London.

However, Saliba's affinity for OM and the prospect of playing for a place in France's World Cup squad has him hesitant on a return.

The defender is set for crunch talks with Arteta later this month and will seek playing guarantees before making a final decision.
