Christian Pulisic watched on from hospital as USA beat Iran to qualify for the knockout stages of the World Cup on Tuesday evening.
USA went into the match needing a victory to seal their place in the last 16.
And they managed to do just that thanks to Pulisic’s first half strike.
USA’s poster boy put his body on the line to score what turned out to be the winner in the 38th minute.
Sergino Dest crossed the ball into the box and Pulisic made sure he got their first.

Pulisic returned to the match but was clearly feeling the effects of the collision.
He was spotted being helped to USA’s changing room by staff members at half-time.
He did not return for the second half and was taken to hospital for check ups.
But, despite missing their star player, USA held on to their one-goal lead and secured their progression to the last 16.
Pulisic was well enough to celebrate his side’s victory and send a brilliant message from his hospital bed.
The 24-year-old shared an image of him celebrating alongside the caption: “So f****** proud of my guys I’ll be ready Saturday don’t worry.”
United States finished second behind England in Group B and will now face the Netherlands in the last 16.
Louis van Gaal’s side will go into the match as favourites but Gregg Berhalter’s side have more than enough quality to pull off a shock.
United States only conceded one goal in the group stages and will be looking to shut their opponents down in the last 16.
They will be hoping to have Pulisic available for the match, which takes place on Saturday December 3 and kicks off at 3pm GMT.
