The young Cameroonian striker Étienne Eto’o is reportedly in the plans of coach Marc Brys, according to certain sources.

Having had a standout season with the reserve team, the Mallorca-born forward is set to become Rayo Vallecano’s main attacking weapon for the upcoming 2025-2026 season.

According to the online outlet L'équipe 237, the Belgian coach is considering calling up Eto’o Junior for the next international break, which will feature two matches against Eswatini and Cape Verde as part of the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

This is fantastic news for the 22-year-old striker, who will have the opportunity to shine on the international stage, having previously featured for youth national teams.
