The 2022 Qatar World Cup is rapidly approaching and this has left many football fans asking who is in what group for the prestigious tournament.

With this World Cup being the first to fall in the winter and mid-season, fans have struggled to build excitement, but now that it is practically upon us, many are fascinated to see what happens.

It is the first World Cup to be held in Qatar, and no doubt many will be hoping to overcome current World champions France following their win in 2018.

There are eight groups in this tournament and many big countries will be hoping to go all the way and lift the trophy in December.

Who is in each World Cup group?

There are four teams in each World Cup group, and these groups were revealed in a huge draw in Qatar. As always the teams are ranked and placed into different groups and this has created some amazing groups and the odd 'Group of Death' in which fans are struggling to decide who will qualify from said groups.

With the tournament starting in November 2022, the Premier League season has been affected, so make sure you know what's happening with domestic football in England.

How many teams will qualify for the last 16 of the 2022 World Cup?

As you can see there are many great groups and what is great about the tournament is the fact that we could see some shocking upsets, big surprises and dark horses.

For each group, teams will play each other once, and there will be two teams that qualify from each group. Group winners from each group will face the runners-up in the last 16.
