The football World Cup always springs up some surprises and we believe there are three countries who are dark horses to go all the way in the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

For those who are unsure, football ‘dark horses’ are countries or clubs that are not seen as favourites to win a competition or get far in the competition.

Dark horses are great and we have seen many shocks in the past, including South Korea’s famous win over Germany in the 2018 World Cup.

No doubt everyone wants to see the big countries like Brazil, England, Germany, France and Spain competing towards the end of the competition, but it won’t be shocking to see a lower-ranked country knock one of these sides out.

Denmark is in a group with current World Cup holders France; however, they have also got Australia and Tunisia. The Danes should beat these two sides, and also recently showed how good they are as they beat France in the Nations League.

Their group isn’t the easiest as they have Morocco, Croatia and Belgium; however, the young Canadian squad will have no fear and this could be huge in advancing far in the tournament.

Senegal are definitely a team to watch in the 2022 Qatar World Cup. With the African nation still elated over their recent African Cup of Nations win, many see this team making it far in the tournament.

With world-class stars like Sadio Mane, Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy as well as young talents like Ismaila Sarr, Senegal could definitely get a lot further than expected. When it gets to the knockout rounds the team should be feared by everyone.
