Saudi Arabia is set to host the next edition of the FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled for 2029.

According to multiple reliable sources, the Gulf kingdom has received assurances from the International Federation of Football (FIFA) regarding the organization of the upcoming Club World Cup.

On one hand, the world football governing body wants to reward Saudi Arabia for its pivotal role in staging the inaugural edition of the Club World Cup, made possible by the investments of the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF).

On the other hand, the Gulf nation will have a golden opportunity to test itself ahead of hosting the 2034 FIFA World Cup, which will feature 48 participating nations.

For the record, Qatar, Brazil, Portugal, Spain, and even Indonesia have all thrown their hats into the ring to host the 2029 Club World Cup, but none are expected to truly challenge the Saudi bid.
