Manchester United target Bazoumana Traore delivered a good performance during Hammarby’s 2-0 league win over Hacken on Thursday evening.

The Red Devils have looked at bolstering their academy with quality talent. They have already signed Sekou Kone, James Overy and Samuel Lusale this summer.

Chido Obi-Martin is expected to arrive in the coming weeks. United reportedly sent a scout to watch Traore in yesterday’s game versus Hacken.

The 18-year-old did not make a direct goal contribution, but he was the second best player after Oscar Johansson Schellhas, who scored both goals for Hammarby.

The Ivorian wonderkid won an impressive nine ground and aerial duels. He also completed five take-ons with six ball recoveries. He had a passing accuracy of 82%.

Traore has had a brilliant start to his senior career from ASEC Mimomas in March and he has already bagged six goals and three assists from 18 appearances.

The left winger was initially an unused substitute after his arrival from the Ivory Coast, but has been an undisputed starter under manager Kim Hellberg in recent months.

The teenager will have impressed United’s representative at the Tele2 Arena, but the club were not alone with Arsenal, Bayer Leverkusen and Brighton & Hove Albion scouts also in attendance.

It will be interesting to see whether United follow up their interest with another scouting trip.

Hammarby visit AIK on Sunday. It is a huge game for Hammarby as they look to stay in the race for Europa Conference League qualification in the Swedish top-flight.

The club are third in the league standings with 44 points, one behind Djurgarden and two ahead of AIK. Traore could be monitored again by scouts this weekend.
