The former Liverpool boss was placed in temporary charge earlier this month after Rehanne Skinner was sacked following a dismal run of nine successive Women’s Super League defeats.

Jepson had an immediate impact, breaking that streak with a vital 1-0 win over bottom side Leicester last weekend to lift Spurs four points clear of the Foxes, who occupy the sole automatic relegation spot.

Spurs host an Arsenal side who travel to Brisbane Road off the back of a controversial 1-0 defeat at Bayern Munich in midweek in the first-leg of their Champions Leaguer quarter-final clash.

Gunners boss Jonas Eidevall was furious with the lack of goal-line technology at the Allianz Arena, as well as the performance of VAR officials after his side saw two penalty appeals waved away, but knows his side must refocus quickly to have any chance of closing a five-point gap to leaders Chelsea.
