On Good Friday, AC Milan will be in action at the La Marmora-Pozzo Stadium in Biella to face Juventus on Matchday 7 of the Serie A 2024/25 Championship Round. Coach Bakker's side are the only unbeaten team in this second phase of the season; on the other hand, Canzi's Bianoconere are close to securing their sixth Scudetto in their history. You can't miss this match, and we are getting ready for it with our Match Preview.
LATEST FROM THE PUMA HOUSE OF FOOTBALL Three draws before back-to-back wins against Roma and Fiorentina. The Rossonere's path in this Championship Round has been impeccable up to this point, and they have continued to show the progress that they made in the first months of 2025. The win against La Viola proved Evelyn Ijeh's top run of form, with ten goals this season, and on the scoresheet in each of her last three games. Giorgia Arrigoni is also on a hot streak, having scored against Fiorentina and the Giallorosse. The Rossonere have no suspensions, but Piga and Sorelli are both cautioned. Laura Giuliani's return is still in doubt, but Noemi Fedele is ready to step up, fresh off of her AC Milan debut, right from the first whistle.
Coach Bakker spoke on the eve of the game: "We've been doing well in the Championship Round, not only in terms of results but also in the way we're playing. As a unit and with discipline, intensity and courage, we want to continue this against league leaders Juventus, for whom it could be a special night! Let’s make them wait at least one more week".
LATEST FROM JUVENTUS It is also an important game for the Bianconeri, having just secured a precious win at the Tre Fontane against Roma thanks to Stølen and Cantore's strikes. The match in Biella could be the "match point" in the Scudetto race for Canzi's side. With three points against AC Milan, in fact, Juventus would become Italian Champions, with three matchdays to go, regardless of Inter's result against Roma on Saturday 19. Lenzini and Beccari still need to be monitored after coming back from national duties injured, unavailable in their league game last weekend. The side have had several long-term injuries, but they have still been very competitive.
This is what Massimiliano Canzi said before the game: "AC Milan are definitely the team in the best form at the moment, and their points, which are the part that count, tell the full story. They are a team that play nice football, and we need to respect them. Of course, we have different goals: we want to, and we must, take all three points. We will play for this, right from the first minute, to the last, to take back home what we need".
