After three consecutive league wins, AC Milan want to continue their good form in their final game of the month. Another Lombardy derby awaits the Rossonere, who are set to face Como Women on the road. Here is our Match Preview, providing you with everything you need to know ahead of the kick-off.

LATEST FROM THE PUMA HOUSE OF FOOTBALL After wins against Sampdoria, Inter and Pomigliano, AC Milan are eager to make it four wins in a row. Their performance last time out was one of the best they've produced this season, and the Rossonere are hoping to build on that against a side who will likely give them a tougher test. In a group where no one is out through suspension - Piga and captain Bergamaschi are, however, one booking away from missing out on the team's next match - Dompig will be looking to continue her excellent form: she's scored four goals in her last three Serie A matches. The same apples to Ijeh, who has bagged in consecutive games. Meanwhile, Nadia Nadim is hoping to get on the scoresheet for the first time in Rossonere colours.

The following players will be available for selection: Babb, Copetti, Giuliani; Bergamaschi, Fusetti, Guagni, Mesjasz, Piga; Boldrini, Cernoia, Dubcová, Grimshaw, Mascarello, Rubio Ávila, Soffia, Vigilucci; Asllani, Dompig, Ijeh, Laurent, Marinelli, Nadim.

"Against Pomigliano, we wanted to produce a determined performance. This is exactly what we did, and the result was a consequence of that," said Coach Corti on the eve of the game. "There are seven games left to play, and we've asked the girls to pick up maximum points so we can secure sixth spot. We'll try to find some new solutions and work on the details so we can be more fluid in our play. We want to see individual and collective improvement."

LATEST FROM COMO WOMEN Como's excellent start to the season (13 points from their opening six games) is a distant memory: the Lariane have only won twice since 5 November: away to Inter and Pomigliano. They've particularly struggled at home, where they've only picked up one point (a 1-1 draw with Napoli on 17 March) in 2024 and scored three times since the start of November. Como, who haven't won on home soil in seven games, are also having problems defensively: they last kept a clean sheet on 10 December. Recently, coach Bruzzano has departed the team, with Maccoppi coming in as his interim replacement. No Lariane player is out through suspension, although Karlenäs and Vaitukaitytė will be forced to sit on the sidelines for the team's next game if they are booked.

PRE-MATCH STATS

  • The two teams are set to meet in the Italian top flight for the fifth time: the previous encounters ended in two Rossonere wins and two draws. While Como Women have won two of their last three league matches against teams based in Lombardy (both of these victories were against Inter), the past four meetings between AC Milan and the Lariane saw the Rossonere score at least three goals three times: the only exception was the 0-0 draw on 14 October.
  • The Rossonere have won three consecutive league matches. They thus have the opportunity to make it four Serie A victories in a row for the first time since the period between March and May 2022. The upcoming clash pits the side that have scored the highest percentage of their goals from dead ball situations (AC Milan, 46%) against the team that have conceded the most in this manner (Como have shipped 15 goals from set-pieces).
  • Marta Mascarello's one and only goal so far this season arrived against Como (in the Rossonere's 3-2 win at the PUMA House of Football on 22 January). Furthermore, Laura Fusetti last scored for AC Milan when the Rossonere faced the Lariane in November 2022 (another home match).
