Japan midfielder Hayao Kawabe has completed a move to Wolves, the Premier League side have confirmed.
He joins from Swiss outfit Grasshoppers Zurich, who he leaves after just six months after impressing hugely following his move from Japan last summer.
Kawabe has signed a three-and-a-half year deal at Molineux and joins for an undisclosed fee.
However, Bruno Lage’s side have announced that he will return to Zurich on loan for the remainder of the season after spending the rest of January in Wolverhampton while the Swiss Super League is on its winter break.
The 26-year-old, who has scored four goals and assisted three for Zurich in 18 appearances this season, becomes the first ever Japanese player to represent Wolves.
