Wolves are set to beat Leicester to the signing of Bolton midfielder Luca Connell.
Connell has starred for the Trotters this term, starting 12 times in the Championship despite only just turning 18.
He’s one of the most sought-after teenagers in the country, especially considering Bolton’s financial plight.
The Lancashire club will enter administration this summer after crippling debts cost them relegation from the second tier and a 12-point penalty deduction for the start of next term.
It means that Connell will be available for virtually nothing this summer, with just minimal compensation paid to Phil Parkinson’s side.
Everton and Southampton has previously been linked with the versatile midfielder but according to the Birmingham Mail it’s Wolves and Leicester who are most keen.
But that same report claims that it will be Nuno Espirito Santo’s men who get their man, and will offer Connell a four-year deal to come to Molineux.
