Tottenham have seen an opening bid of £15m rejected by Wolves for Adama Traore.

Antonio Conte is keen to sign the winger as he looks to strengthen his squad this month, with the Spain international viewed as an option at right wing-back in the North London side’s system, in a similar manner to how be utilised Victor Moses during his time at Chelsea.

The BBC are reporting that Wolves need to sell players before bringing in new additions this month and the club could choose to cash in on Traore, who has entered the final 18 months of his contract at Molineux.

Spurs were previously interested in the 25-year-old last summer and have now reignited their interest, with summer signing Emerson Royal having failed to convince since his arrival from Barcelona.

According to Sky Sports, Wolves are believed to be demanding a fee of around £25m for Traore, who has made 153 appearances in all competitions since his arrival from Middlesbrough.

Traore’s end product has often been criticised with the winger having scored just 11 goals for Wolves, but Conte believes the Spaniard’s pace and power can provide his side with a threatening outlet at wing-back.

Spurs have also been linked with a move for AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, with the midfielder out of contract at the San Siro at the end of the season.
