Wolverhampton Wanderers are looking into the possibility of signing South Korean international striker Hwang Ui-jo.

That’s according to The Athletic, who report on Thursday that the club are in the market for a new striker following Fábio Silva’s departure on loan to Anderlecht.

And Hwang Ui-jo, who has scored 29 goals in 92 appearances for Bordeaux over the last three seasons, is reportedly one of their targets.

Wolves are yet to make a bid, but discussions are said to have taken place and the 29-year-old is likely to depart Bordeaux after they were relegated from Ligue 1 at the end of last season.

If he moves to Molineux, he will of course link up with his South Korean international colleague Hwang Hee-chan, who joined the club permanently this summer after spending last season on loan from RB Leipzig.
