While their main issues lie at the back, Wolves can still look to invest in the Celtic striker, who has scored 22 goals in 20 games for the Parkhead youth team this season.

According to the Daily Mail, Wolves have already run checks on the forward. They are likely to face competition from Brentford, Fulham, Ipswich Town, Sunderland and Burnley for his signature.

Daniel Cummings set for Celtic exit

The 18-year-old striker is out of contract at Parkhead this summer, and Wolves could be looking to get him on the cheap.

The young striker has been in outstanding form this season and scored his fifth goal in five UEFA Youth League games to sink Club Brugge in a 1-0 win last week.

His future at Celtic looks uncertain, and the club have not offered him a new deal.

While it makes sense for the Bhoys to develop homegrown talent rather than buy in the market, the striker’s contract situation could tempt several Premier League clubs to make a move for him as early as January.

Wolves will have to pay a figure in the region of £230,000 and £330,000 in training compensation if Cummings eventually leaves.

With so many clubs vying for his signature, Wolves must jump in quickly and take the youngster on board. His goalscoring record at youth levels is outstanding.

Celtic have decided to give Johnny Kenny a chance in the senior team following his fantastic performances for Shamrock Rovers on loan.

Wolves are 19th in the Premier League table and face a crucial game against West Ham United on Monday night.
