Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo has received bad news from the club on the search for a striker.

The Premier League side were desperate to add a centre-forward in January, given the injury suffered by main attacker Raul Jimenez.

The latter's skull fracture means he may not be back for several weeks.

According to The Mirror, interest from the club in both Divock Origi and Olivier Giroud has been shelved.

Boss Nuno has been told he will not be spending big money this month.

Wolves spent £70 million in the summer.

Now the owners will tighten the purse strings, and Nuno may have to work with what is at his disposal.
