Milan Skriniar’s stint at Paris Saint-Germain appears to be nearing its end. The former Inter Milan center-back has joined Fenerbahçe on loan for the rest of the 2024-25 season.

The 30-year-old signed with PSG as a free agent after leaving Inter and is under contract with the Ligue 1 side through 2028. While Skriniar was a regular in the lineup last season, he has since fallen out of favor under coach Luis Enrique. After making 37 appearances in his first campaign, he’s no longer part of Enrique’s plans this year.

His move to Fenerbahçe is a straight loan with no option to buy, and PSG are expected to look for a permanent move in the summer. According to Fichajes, Tottenham have recently added Skriniar to their list of defensive targets.

With uncertainty around Cristian Romero’s future, Spurs are eyeing experienced reinforcements at the back—and Skriniar, with his proven record in Serie A and the Champions League, could be a strong option.

CaughtOffside reports that Wolverhampton Wanderers are eyeing a bold move for Skriniar despite the PSG defender earning more than £200,000 per week.

Skriniar is starting to feel the flip side of free agency. Lured to Paris by a lucrative contract, the Slovak center-back now finds himself in a tough spot just two years later—struggling to find another club willing or able to match his current wages.

Speaking to Sport24Sk, Skriniar’s agent, Martin Petras, admitted the situation isn’t easy for his client.

“Skriniar made a name for himself in Italy, and for that reason, he is still in the minds of the top Serie A clubs. However, I think his move to AC Milan or another Italian club is unlikely.”

“Milan has a colossal salary, and in Italy, they will probably not be able to afford it with the taxes and contributions. With all these expenses, they would almost have to double it and pay him nearly 20 million euros per year. In my opinion, not just anyone in Serie A would pay that today.”
