Wolves had triggered the option to make their deal for RB Leipzig striker Hwang Hee-chan permanent.
The 26-year-old will technically remain on loan at the club until the end of the season where he will officially move to Molineux on a four-year deal.
There have been various reports that the fee paid for the South Korean international will be £11.9m, which was believed to have been agreed when Hwang moved on loan at the start of the season.
Hwang is Wolves’ top goalscorer so far this season, after bagging four goals in his 14 appearances.
