Wolverhampton Wanderers have been crowned champions of the Championship after a 4-0 win away at Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.

But at the other end of the table, Sunderland’s relegation to League One was confirmed by a 2-1 defeat at home to fellow strugglers Burton Albion.

Replacing them in the Championship will be Wigan Athletic, who were promoted back to the second flight with a 4-0 win away at Fleetwood Town.

And there was a promotion in League Two as well, as Luton Town secured their return to League One with a 1-1 draw away at Carlisle.

The Football League will also see the return of a familiar face next season after Macclesfield Town sealed their return to League Two with a 2-0 win over Eastleigh.
