Wolves captain Conor Coady hailed their attitude for victory over Leicester City.

Long-range strikes from Ruben Neves and Daniel Podence saw Wolves take the spoils at a wet and windy Molineux.

Coady later said, “Grit, determination and character to stay in it. We know how good Leicester are and I think we were a bit naïve at times. But on these kinds of conditions in the Premier League, I don't think you can play your free-flowing best.

“Last week we were fantastic in how we wanted to play and we had one of those games today when we had to stick in. We've score two fantastic goals and we know we can play better, we know we can do things better, but a big plus was how we stuck together and were incredibly organised, and I think we showed that today. It was a massive, massive result for us."

On Neves, he continued: “He's an incredible footballer and an incredible person. He's a fantastic character and a massive player for our football club.

“It's not just his finishing that he brings – we know he can score from outside the box, I think that's all he ever scores; that or penalties, and we know he can do that, but it's his overall play, he brings people in with his link-up play, he's composed in the middle of the pitch, and his hard work really shows, and I think he was brilliant again. He's been outstanding all season for us."

On Pedro Neto's return, Coady declared: “Look at his legs, he's been on holiday for 10 months! It's been amazing for him. You heard the crowd and you see what he means to this football club, you've seen what he means to these supporters, and you've seen what he means to us.

“He's an incredible person, a funny character and someone we love having in our dressing room, so to see him back on the pitch today was amazing."
