Wolves boss Nuno was furious being blocked from playing captain Conor Coady for last night's draw with Southampton.

Wolves earned their point against Southampton in the absence of captain Coady – the first time he has missed a league game in more than three years – after he had contact with a person who tested positive for coronavirus.

The centre back was still allowed to watch the Premier League clash from the stands at Molineux on Monday evening.

Defender Romain Saiss is also self-isolating after returning a positive result in the last fortnight.

Nuno said: "Conor will start the next training session with us.

"I don't know how many more days' isolation Saiss has, but it's too much time. Conor has spent so many days in isolation [even though] during the two tests he took he was negative, and he has already had the virus [in March].

"The protocols make it very hard for all the teams. Fortunately the international breaks have stopped until March and that will allow the teams to prepare better."
