Scorers: Jimenez 70′

Leeds lost their first home game of the season on Monday evening as a second half Raul Jimenez strike was enough to see Wolves walk away from Elland Road with all three points.

The home side had the majority of the possession and the chances in the first half, with Patrick Bamford having a goal correctly ruled out for offside and Luke Ayling also going close.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side didn’t quite have their shooting boots on though and almost paid for that at the start of the second half when Romain Saïss thought he’d scored a brilliant opener.

Our old friend VAR had a different opinion however, a ruled out the goal for a marginal offside.

It didn’t matter though, as with 20 minutes remaining, Wolves did open the scoring with a fortuitous opener.

Some brilliant work from Raul Jimenez saw the Mexico international on the edge of the area, and his relatively weak shot took a deflection of Kalvin Phillips a ricocheted into the back of the net.

Unlike every other Premier League game so far this season, West Brom and Burnley played out a goalless draw at the Hawthorns.

Chances were at a premium during the first-half but Burnley did threaten the hosts, with Sam Johnstone doing well to save from Chris Wood.

Grady Diangana and Branislav Ivanović both had second-half shots comfortably saved by Nick Pope, before Wood hit the bar from a close range header.

But ultimately neither side could break the deadlock, leaving the Baggies and Burnley in 17th and 18th place respectively.
