In a recent report, Lance stated that Wolverhampton Wanderers are monitoring the progress of Sao Paulo starlet Lucas Beraldo. It has been claimed that Wolves are eyeing a move to secure the services of the Brazilian centre-back next year.

Beraldo’s Rapid Rise In Brasileirao

The 19-year-old has come through the youth ranks of Sao Paulo and has done well to establish himself as a reliable performer for their senior team. Beraldo has featured in 48 matches for the Brazilian outfit so far, scoring one goal across various competitions.

The Brazilian talent has been a dominant presence on the defensive end of the pitch and has caught the eye with his performances in the Brasileirao. However, he is still quite raw and would need time to prove his worth at the highest level.

The talented teenager’s current deal at the Brazilian club will run out in 2026. Therefore, Wolves would have a make a decent offer if they want to sign Beraldo next year.

Wolves Are Monitoring Beraldo: Is He A Prospect For The Future?

Beraldo is a good tackler of the ball and can scan the danger well to earn possession back for his side inside his half. He is not shy of clearing his lines when required and can play his way out from the back.

Standing 1.86m, the Brazilian whizkid can be a towering presence and usually wins his fair share of aerial duels. However, as mentioned earlier, he is still quite raw and might struggle to cope with the physicality and high intensity of Premier League football.

We can expect Beraldo to enhance the quality of Wolves boss Gary O’Neil’s squad. At 19, he has the potential to become a generational talent and would be a great signing for the West Midlands club in the long run. However, O’Neil would need to be patient with his progress before he can unlock the best out of the youngster at the Molineux Stadium.
