When speaking to Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung, Wolfsburg managing director Jörg Schmadtke confirmed that they are signing Nicolas Cozza from Montpellier.
On the subject of the new arrival, Schmadtke said: “It is clear that he will come. The question is whether he is already coming now or in the summer.” It is reported that Wolfsburg would like to sign the centre-back now, but Montpellier is hesitating on allowing him to leave.
Cozza has played 16 matches for Montpellier this season, scoring twice and assisting once. The 24-year-old can play as a centre-back and a left-back which adds depth for Wolfsburg after the departure of Jérôme Roussillon to Union Berlin.

They restart their season at home against Freiburg on January 21.
