Wolfsburg striker Victor Sá confirms Flamengo talks | OneFootball

The 2021 season certainly has started very differently from the previous ones. This is because Flamengo are cutting expenses due to the financial impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, therefore not making many signings.

However, one striker who caught the attention of Mais Querido was Victor Sá, who is playing for Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg.

In an interview with Goal, the 27-year-old admitted that he has been in contact with Flamengo though he is unsure of how advanced negotiations are at the current moment.

“Yes, there was contact with my agent and then things have developed. I’m still not aware of how the negotiations are doing.

“The affection is very nice, the Brazilian fans are like that. I’ve been amazed.

“One day your name comes out in the papers and the same day, thirty minutes later, your social network is crazy, everyone is texting you, on your phone, on your wife’s, your mother’s…

“I am very happy, even more that a team like Flamengo, after everything that they have conquered in the last few years, are interested in me.

“I am happy they are interested and if it has to happen, it would certainly be a club that would be an honour for me to wear the shirt.”

Victor Sá, who came up through the Palmeiras academy, last featured in Brazil back in 2015 for São José-SP before being sold to Austrian outfit LASK.
