“With the group” – Pochettino provides Enzo Fernandez injury update | OneFootball

Enzo Fernandez had to leave the field after only 30 minutes in Chelsea’s League Cup win against Newcastle United in the week.

Of course, Chelsea fans feared the worst immediately and expected that Enzo was injured and would then be the latest to join the long list of injured players that they have had to deal with throughout the last few seasons.

But it soon came to the forefront that Enzo just felt unwell and had stomach issues. Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino soon confirmed this after the game.

However, reliable sources in Argentina suggested that Enzo has been suffering with and playing with groin problems, which could present a problem.

Pochettino had his pre-match press conference for Wolves yesterday, and he didn’t mention anything at all about a groin problem and says that Enzo in fact has a hernia. But this is not expected to keep him out for any more than just the one game this weekend.

As cited by The Evening Standard, Pochettino said: “Enzo is going to be out of the game against Wolverhampton. We are going to see if he can be involved again as soon as possible.

“You already have the information that it was a hernia and he also didn’t feel well. We are going to give treatment with the doctor.

“For me, it is not going to be a problem. I think he is going to be as soon as possible again with the group.”
