Winning the Europa League would be advantageous to Inter for various reasons according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri club are just three matches away from potentially winning the competition for the fourth time in their history and their new found defensive solidity has certainly increased their chances of Europa League success with Inter having not conceded in any of their last five games across all competitinos to date.

Aside from the prize money that winning the Europa League would bring, Inter would also qualify for the UEFA Super Cup, where they will face the Champions League winners and they will also go into the first pot for the Champions League group stage draw which will, in theory, allow Inter to get a kinder draw than in recent seasons.

Inter are back in Europa League action on Monday night with them set to face Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen in the quarter finals.
