Beaten by Southampton in the play-off semi-finals, it is now back to the drawing board for Carlos Corberan and his players as they prepare for another second tier campaign.

Recruitment, as always, will be key for the club this summer, and with that in mind, we've discussed five free agents below who could or should be of interest to the club.

Indeed, here are five free transfers West Brom should at least consider heading into the summer.

Josh Windass

One player that should definitely be seriously considered at The Hawthorns is Josh Windass.

The Sheffield Wednesday man looks set to be a free agent soon, and reportedly, the Baggies do hold an interest.

According to The Star, the Baggies are one of several sides considering a move for the player, with Stoke City and Hull City also keen.

Don't get us wrong, it's not a game-changing signing by any means, but Windass on a free would be a solid addition, and certainly bolster the club's attacking options.

We've seen previously that Windass can also produce big moments, which could win the Baggies a few matches were he either starting or coming off the bench.

Paddy McNair

Another player that the Baggies should be considering a move for this summer is Paddy McNair.

The Middlesbrough centre-back is soon set to be a free agent and is one of the more standout names when looking at potential free transfers this summer.

Although Cedric Kipre has been offered a new deal, his contract does expire at the end of June, meaning the club may soon need defensive reinforcements.

Even if he stays, though, McNair would bolster the club's options at centre-back and be a good addition at no cost.

Jamal Lowe

At this stage, Daryl Dike's injury record is well documented, and with loanees such as Mikey Johnston and Andreas Weimann returning to their clubs this summer, the Baggies attack looks as though it could do with a few additions.

On a free transfer, there are surely worse options worth considering than Jamal Lowe.

Sky Sports claim that Lowe is now a free agent following his exit from AFC Bournemouth and following a loan stint at Swansea.

At Championship level, Lowe knows where the back of the net is, and offers versatility with an ability to play anywhere across the front line.

Divin Mubama

Another option that would add to the club's attacking ranks is young West Ham United striker Divin Mubama.

The 19-year-old has not had many chances to impress at the London Stadium, and as a result, he has rejected a new deal from West Ham.

Clearly, Mubama is a talent, and West Brom, if they are prepared to develop him, could have a really good player on their hands were they to make this signing.

Again, it would add to their attacking options, and Mubama has plenty of potential to fulfil.

Other Championship clubs have been sniffing around, though, so this is one they might have to get done quickly if they are keen.

Oliver Norwood

Last but not least, Oliver Norwood is one last free agent worth considering for the Baggies this summer.

In their retained list, a number of options were released in the middle of the park and bringing in a player of Norwood's experience could be shrewd.

Despite being 33, he is still very much fit and available, and has extensive experience of the division and indeed what it takes to get out of it.

Like some others on this list, several clubs are said to be keen on the former Blades man, so again, the Baggies may have to act quickly here if they are keen.
