Willian Arão has suffered an incredibly unfortunate injury just days before the biggest match of the season.
The player suffered an accident in the bathroom of his home and should no longer play in the Brazilian Championship.
Arão had been playing in the defence, alongside Rodrigo Caio, and the improvisation worked, with the player being highly praised in recent games.
Of course, this leaves manager Rogério Ceni with only a couple days to shift his matchday plans. However, he should opt for Gustavo Henrique to play on the Flamengo back-line.
Flamengo must earn a victory against Internacional to control their own destiny heading into the final match of the season against São Paulo.
Should Flamengo win their final two matches of the season, they will be crowned back-to-back champions, which would be the first time since Cruzeiro pulled off the feat seven years ago.
