Callum Hudson-Odoi’s representatives have asked for him to be given Eden Hazard’s old No10 shirt, despite Willian claiming he had been offered the number.

The Brazilian forward had worn No22 since his arrival in west London but revealed earlier this week that he had been given Hazard’s old number.

The Evening Standard however, claims that Hudson-Odoi’s agent have asked he be handed the shirt as part of his new five-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are yet to officially unveil their squad numbers for the upcoming season, but speaking to reporters, Frank Lampard said: “There’s no confirmation on that decision. It will be taken in due course.

“Hopefully his return to training date will be early August.”
