L’Équipe report that Didier Deschamps will make a number of changes to his France team that beat Ireland 2-0 in Paris last Thursday for the trip to Germany tomorrow.

The friendly international game will take place just a couple of days after the Euro 2024 hosts sacked coach Hansi Flick following a 4-1 thrashing by Japan last week. With France’s opponents in disarray, Deschamps will take the chance to rotate his starting team in Dortmund.

PSG striker Randal Kolo Muani has recovered from a minor ankle sprain and is expected to make the XI alongside Kylian Mbappé and Kingsley Coman in attack. Meanwhile, the team Deschamps used in training yesterday saw William Saliba of Arsenal positioned at centre-back, and Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga stationed at left-back as first-choice Theo Hernandez is struggling with a calf issue.

Youssouf Fofana and Aurélien Tchouaméni made up a two-man midfield behind Antoine Griezmann, while Benjamin Pavard slotted in at right-back ahead of Jules Koundé. This would mean six changes from the Ireland game, with striker Olivier Giroud among them. The AC Milan man has already left the camp due to injury, but his club teammate Mike Maignan and Dayot Upamecano are expected to keep their places.
