Liverpool meet Real Madrid at Anfield tonight in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash.

Jürgen Klopp’s men are 3-1 down from the first leg last week in Spain. That leaves Liverpool with a huge mountain to climb if they are to progress to the semi-finals and a likely date with Premier League rivals Chelsea.

The Reds are without Virgil van Dijk, Joël Matip, Joe Gomez, and Jordan Henderson.

Divock Origi, Caoimhin Kelleher, and Curtis Jones will face late fitness tests. All three could be on the bench tonight if passed fit.

Alisson Becker will start in goal for Liverpool as expected. In front of the Brazil international, it will probably be the same back four as from the first leg – Trent Alexander-Arnold, Nat Phillips, Ozan Kabak, and Andy Robertson.

In midfield, Fabinho will continue in the ‘6’ role at the base of the trio with Gini Wijnaldum and Thiago Alcântara alongside him.

Sadio Mané was on the bench for the 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Saturday. The Senegal international has looked completely devoid of confidence in front of goal for the last couple of months. I believe Klopp may opt to go with Mohamed Salah, Bobby Firmino, and Diogo Jota as his starting front line.
