If Florian Wirtz does become available next summer every big club in Europe will be keen to sign the German international. It won’t be down to a battle of two clubs to sign Wirtz. He is already firmly established as one of the premier young playmakers in Europe. He showed that last season with Bayer Leverkusen. Wirtz scored 18 goals and added 20 assists as Leverkusen dominated German football last season. His pedigree is well-established. Due to this, if he is to leave Leverkusen next summer, a host of clubs will be eager to sign him.

At face value, Bayern Munich would appear to be the favourites to sign Wirtz. They tend to sign the brightest young German talents to build their squad. Wirtz certainly fits that bill.
