Chelsea have officially unveiled their new home kit for the 2025/26 season, but it will not be on show against Manchester United tonight.
The Blues are continuing their partnership with sportswear giants Nike, with the new shirt "inspired by London’s iconic landmarks and creative culture".
Cole Palmer, Marc Cucurella, Reece James, Millie Bright, Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo, Sam Kerr, Guro Reiten, Naomi Girma and Lauren James all featured in the unveiling on Friday, along with celebrities including music stars Central Cee and Suggs, lead singer of Madness, whose classic tune ‘Our House’ soundtracked the launch video.
The design features a textured clash print with the club' classic blue paired with a brighter shade which is said to embody the youthful spirit that has shaped west London.
Meanwhile, white and red trims add more Chelsea heritage colours alongside a specially adapted crest, which matches the colourway and inspiration of the overall design.
Chelsea’s chief revenue officer Casper Stylsvig said: "London stands for creativity, innovation and an ever-evolving cultural landscape, and is embedded into our DNA. It's fitting that in our 120th year this incredible city has such a visual representation on our home kit.
"The classic Chelsea blue and heritage colours stand alongside architectural icons of our skyline, we are proud to call London our home and to continue playing a big part in shaping its football community and culture."
No. Standard Sport understands Chelsea will begin wearing their new kit at this summer’s Club World Cup instead.
This is due to a number of reasons, with the club’s current sponsorship agreement with DAMAC Properties a likely factor.
All season the Blues had played without a front-of-shirt sponsor, but that changed in the Conference League semi-final first leg against Swedish side Djurgarden at the beginning of the month after they agreed a short-term deal with the Dubai-based property development company.
The agreement covers the rest of the current season, including Chelsea’s remaining Premier League matches against Manchester United and Nottingham Forest, as well as the Conference League final against Real Betis in Wroclaw on May 28.
The agreement does not include this summer’s inaugural expanded FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, with Chelsea still in talks with other companies about potential sponsorship for that competition and beyond into next season.
