Wilfried Zaha could be on the move this summer.

The Ivorian winger has been linked with a move away from Crystal Palace on numerous occasions since signing in 2015.

Arsenal have been one of the clubs that have been rumoured to be interested in Zaha in the past.

A move has never materialised, though.

Zaha’s contract with The Eagles runs out in the summer and 2023 could be the year that he finally secures a move away.

But has his opportunity to move to one of Europe’s biggest clubs gone?

A reporter on Sky Sports certainly thinks so.

Zaha’s future was one of the talking points on Monday morning.

And a member of the Good Morning Transfers panel shared his belief that Zaha may have waited too long to make the move.

The reporter said: “I think a big move has gone [for Zaha]. The chance was there when he was linked to Arsenal and a few other clubs. I felt as though that was his time to go, when he was at the peak of his powers. Arsenal at that point needed a winger.

“Now, if he’s thinking, ‘Can I go to Arsenal, City, Liverpool, United, Chelsea, Spurs…’, all these sides have wingers or players that they trust.

“I think the move has actually gone, and in the end he may actually end up having to stay at Palace because he doesn’t have anywhere else to go.

“I fear for him in the sense that he will look back and go ‘I should have made that move a while ago’.

“The benefit he’s got is that he can go where ever he wants and that might tempt Tottenham or United. But the way the window has gone, I don’t know if these clubs are going to go ‘let’s go and sign this player we probably should have signed five years ago when there’s lot of these other players around.’

“I’m not convinced he’s going to have another option.”

Zaha saw the reporter’s comments and couldn’t resist hitting back.

Taking to Twitter, Zaha wrote: “I actually don’t know what’s funnier that jumper or the nonsense coming out his mouth.”

The tweet was deleted soon after it was posted.

How has Zaha performed this season?

Zaha has been impressive for Crystal Palace once again this campaign.

He’s scored six goals and recorded three assists in 17 appearances for the club.

Whether Zaha leaves the club this summer after a successful eight-year spell remains to be seen.
