According to L’Équipe, Wilfried Zaha (31) could leave Olympique Lyonnais as soon as the January transfer window after a difficult start to life at the Groupama Stadium. The former Crystal Palace attacker joined OL as a late transfer on loan from Galatasaray in the summer transfer window.
The Cotê d’Ivoire international cost Les Gones a loan fee in the region of €3m, but so far, are yet to see any return on their investment. Zaha has struggled for minutes under the management of Pierre Sage. In just 5 appearances, the 31-year-old has only managed 122 minutes of action.
Sage has even left the former Manchester United wide attacker out of his matchday squad. Zaha finds himself low in the attacking pecking order at Lyon, with Georges Mikautadze, Alexandre Lacazette, Gift Orban, Rayan Cherki and Malick Fofana all ahead of him in the eyes of the former Red Star coach. Such limited playing time and opportunities could see the attacker leave the club in the coming months.
